Turkey Sausage and Broccoli

This recipe is fast and easy to make for a quick and healthy dinner! The broccoli, tomatoes, and basil make this recipe nutrient rich, while the turkey provides quite a bit of protein.  You can also switch it up by using chicken sausage and pick from a variety of "spice" from mild to hot. 

Ingredients

  • 1 large bunch broccoli (about 1 pound, 5 ounces)
  • 4 hot Italian turkey sausage links (13 ounces)
  • 1 pint grape tomatoes, halved
  • 1/2 cup chopped basil leaves
  • 1/2 cup grated Romano cheese
  • organic spray oil 

Instructions

  1. Thinly slice sausage; cook in pan, sprayed with organic oil, on medium 7-8 minutes.
  2. Add tomatoes; cook 5 minutes longer.
  3. Steam broccoli separately; add to sausage and tomato mixture.
  4. Remove from heat; sprinkle with Romano cheese.
